NaNoWriMo Winner!

Good morning, Everyone! This is just a short blog to let you know that I have finished my novel and have turned it in and then printed it off to prove it! It has been a rather grueling process in one way, but very satisfying in another. My company, Donna and Ron, have been very cooperative, and have allowed me to do all the necessary writing I had to do to write my 50,000 words. I actually wrote 51,267 words, but that was because I had my characters in a place where they needed some closure. Thankfully, I had plenty of time to write extra paragraphs. I want to thank my granddaughter Quinlyn, who lives here, for telling me about the contest; and my granddaughter  Kelly, who is the mother of Omari, one of my under-a-year-old great-grandchildren, for sending me the NaNoWriMo web site. I had never heard of it, and I wouldn't have done it except that they are going to publish my book for me! I couldn't resist the carrot at the end of that stick! Quinlyn (13) and Michael (9), also finished their novels for their age group and are also winners! How neat is that? Thank you, Quinlyn and Kelly!

So this morning, Donna and I are going to the store for necessities,  and will begin to get things together for the Christmas holidays. Lisa is always a big help with gifts and food, so I'm not worried except that the holidays will be here at my house rather than at hers. We're putting up a tree and decorating it this weekend, so that will be a big start on the Christmas decorations. And she has lots of garlands that light up and will share some of them with me--I guess I'm saying that she'll help me with her decorations, because for the first time since I've been in New Mexico, Christmas is at my house!

So have a good Thursday!
Blessings...Mimi

  2. Yes, I think we're behind right now, but we'll get a lot done this weekend. It will be fun and special for you all to be here this year. Thanks for helping out so much while I was writing!
